Do you remember the first time you became a godmother or a godfather? I'm sure you're overwhelmed with so much happiness. Happiness no words can explain. It's not about the money you have to shell out every christmas just to give your godchildren the most expensive and most beautiful gift they'll ever get. It's about the trust that your friends gave you. It may be a big responsibility to be a godmother or a godfather, but knowing that there are people who trust you so much to be the godfather or godmother of their child is a wonderful feeling. It boosts your self esteem and it makes you feel important. I know some people who have a list of all the names and birthdays of their godchildren. It only means that they fully embrace their role as godparents.

I have 10 godchildren and I know all their names and birthdays including all the gifts I gave them every Christmas. And while it's so difficult to budget your allowance every year just to give all of them meaningful gifts for Christmas, I always feel happy, the kind of happiness money can't buy every time I hear them say "thank you, I really love your gift."

Knowing that you were able to make someone happy makes your day complete. It makes us smile and say "Life is so good and beautiful!"

So why not make it a habit to make someone happy everyday? Why not share your blessings? Why not spread the happiness you feel?

If you haven't been a godparent or you just simply want to share your blessings and make someone happy, NOW is your CHANCE to spread happiness, share and make the wishes of Kabulusan Kids come true.

We are going to launch FORTY Wishes on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Philippine College of Criminology Gymnasium, Philippines. All you have to do is attend the orientation/teambuilding seminar for rotaractors and rotaractor wannabes, 1-6PM. Register for only 40 pesos.

During break time, you can take a look at the RAC MANILA METRO BOOTH of FORTY Wishes, where the pictures and wishes of Sitio Kabulusan Kids are posted. And for only 40 pesos you'll be able to make their wish come true. In return, we are going to give you an ATE AKO (I am a BIG SiSTER) or KUYA AKO (I am a BIG BROTHER) button pin, a reminder that EACH ONE OF US CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE to someone else's life.

Sitio Kabulusan is a depressed area in Muntinlupa City, Philiipines and the children's wishes are simple things like shoes for graduation, school supplies, bags and slippers. Simple things but we are sure that these simple things will cause them multitude of happiness if only YOU and I WILL SHARE WHAT WE HAVE AND CHOOSE TO CHANGE THE WORLD WITH LOVE.

Visit the photos page of http://manilametro.multiply.com for pictures of Kabulusan Kids.

If you want to send donations in kind or in cash, email us at racmanilametro@yahoo.com.
